If you’re a gamer, you probably noticed all the new stuff being announces at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles. I’m super excited, especially about all the announcements from Sony and Nintendo.

Lots of people are excited for different consoles and their respective games, LIKE THE 3DS. So here’s your chance to win one! The winner will receive a red 3DS XL system (like new, used only a few times) with its original box, charger, manuals, and AR cards. Plus, the two latest killer apps for the 3DS, Fire Emblem: Awakening and Animal Crossing: New Leaf!

This needs to fucking stop. This is an absolute invasion of women, this is disgusting, and this Tumblr needs to go away.

We need to report both the Twitter and the Tumblr.

Creepshots is a website for men to take “sexy” pictures of unsuspecting women, and from their ‘About Us’ section it states: “Creepshots are CANDID pictures. If a person is posing or aware that a picture is being taken, then it is no longer a creepshot.”

These men take pictures of women who are unaware and post them.

And then under their rules for getting the pictures removed? One of the two options is to “appreciate” the fact that some fucking gross man took a picture of you.

Hello tumblr staff,

Please remove/ban the blog creepshots.tumblr.com. They post demeaning, humiliating and objectifying pictures of women (typically their asses and breasts and even under their skirts) that they take without their permission on the street and in public. These guys were banned and deleted from reddit. Can you really say that tumblr is less of a safe respectable place than reddit?

What they are doing is wrong. Many, many users on tumblr feel violated and unsafe by this blog’s presence in the tumblr community. These men are violating the privacy of women everywhere. They specifically state in their about me: “Creepshots are CANDID pictures. If a person is posing or aware that a picture is being taken, then it is no longer a creepshot. A true creepshot captures the natural sexy, embarrassing or funny aspect of the subject mater/person without their knowledge.” They specifically state that only accept pictures of people whose privacy has been violated (source: http://creepshots.tumblr.com/AboutUs).

Please do something to show that you care about the safety and dignity of women, particularly the women in the tumblr community. If you don’t care about that, can you at least ban/delete them in the name of protecting yourself from legal liability? because there’s a strong likelihood that some of those pictures are of underaged girls. Given that these men are taking pics of young women they don’t know, how can they know their ages for certain? All it takes is one concerned parent or adolescent seeing their picture on that site, and if you don’t take it down, legal action could be taken against you.

So please, in the name of what is ethical and right and even legally responsible and smart, delete creepshots. Thank you.

BUFFALO, NY — Adam Arroyo returned home from work to find his door busted down, and his apartment in shambles, riddled with bullet holes, and stained with blood. The government had paid him a visit while he was away.

Police were performing one of the many, many home raids that occur annually in the tyrannical Drug War.

Arroyo’s dog, Cindy, had been killed by police. But police raided the wrong home.

“She’s over here, chained up, and look at all these bullet holes man. Look at the blood right here,” Arroyo explained. “She was tied up in the kitchen like I tie her up every single day, and they shot her for no reason.”

“For police to wrongfully come into my house and murder my dog… It wasn’t that they felt threatened. No. They murdered my dog,” said Arroyo, beginning to tear up.

Arroyo now has to pay to have Cindy cremated. He also had to repair his door at his own cost and has had to miss work.

Cindy was a pit bull. Not only did the police raid the wrong house, but they saw a pit bull who was chained up, unable to cause any harm and decided to just shoot her. Not once. Not twice. The poor thing was riddled with bullet holes.

I am disgusted. I am in tears.

Alright, if you’re a consumer and you’re considering picking up the new Xbox One console, then please, take a moment to listen to me. Before we begin, no, I am not a fanboy or a hater. I have no console Bias. I have a PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, and a Gaming PC. Each has their pros and cons but now onto business.

DO NOT BUY AN XBOX ONE. Why? See the reasons below:

Xbox Requires an internet connection. Here’s how it works: Every 24 hours your Xbox will try to connect to Microsoft’s servers for verification. If it is unable to connect, sucks to be you. You’re blocked from playing even single player games until it can connect.

Do you like renting games, lending them to a friend, or even borrowing them from a friend? No longer possible. Every Xbox One game you get must be registered to your Xbox live account to be played. After that point it will only work for you. No one else can use it unless they pay a fee. Essentially it works like this. You pick up a used Xbox One game from somewhere or someone, pop it into your console. The system verifies it’s been registered to your account. Uh-oh, it isn’t! In order to play it, you have to pay Microsoft a fee, which is currently slated to be full retail price. Doesn’t matter how scratched up it is or how cheap you got it at gamestop or from a friend. You aren’t just buying the physical copies anymore. You’re paying Microsoft for a LICENSE to be allowed to play that game.

It is worth mentioning Microsoft is exploring ways for you to trade in and resell your used games. This is rumored to mean that you can sell your digital license to play the game (registration) back to microsoft, likely for microsoft points. You can then trade in the game at gamespot for some cash if you like. Either way, as it currently stands, the new owner would still have to pay a fee on top of the price of actually buying the physical copy.

Is it worth mentioning that Microsoft if shafting Indie Developers as well? Where as on Playstation Network or (whatever the Wii has) Indie Developers can self publish their content easily. Playstation even encourages this. Microsoft however forces these Indie Devs to enter publishing deals with them to be allowed to market their content. You don’t go through them, you don’t get to sell what you developed.

I’m not quite done yet! Now, I’m sure you heard a lot about “TV TV TV TV SPORTS TV TV SPORTS SPORTS TV.” Yes, the Xbox is slated to be able to stream live tv, live sports, etc. So let me ask you this. You obviously already have something like cable or DirecTV. Do you really want to shell out hundreds of dollars more and pay a monthly subscription fee to have another television provider? Yes, I said hundreds of dollars, and I don’t mean the cost of the console. To view live TV from the Xbox you are required to purchase ANOTHER separate device for it to work. Why would you even consider shelling out more money for something you already have anyway? Even if you didn’t, DirecTV is cheaper. Or you could even subscribe you Hulu.com and watch live tv on your computer. FOR MUCH CHEAPER. You essentially have to buy another cable box if you don’t have one. And if you do… what do you need the Xbox One for?

So far we’ve discovered that the Xbox One is not really a gaming console, at least… not a consumer friendly gaming console. It’s being marketed as an all-in-one home entertainment system. Something to replace all of the other devices in your house. But there are drawbacks even to that. Put on your tin foil hats for this part folks. Take from it what you will, all I’ll say is… possibilities…

The Xbox One’s features will not function unless the Kinect is plugged in and active. This is not an optional piece anymore.

So imagine your Kinect piece breaks? Tough luck, no more Xbox for you. But you know what’s worse?

Pay attention, because this is important. The Kinect is always watching. Always listening. Even when the system is off.

Yes. One of the ways to turn the system on is to audibly say: “Xbox On” while the system is off. The Kinect, which is always on, hears you and turns it on. Now this might seem like a cool feature, but did you know Microsoft patented a feature that would allow the Kinect’s camera (It’s no longer just a sensor, but a camera) to spy on you for the MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America?) While they may not actually do this, it is actually possible for them to do this now. It has a camera, and a microphone. The Kinect is always on. It is ALWAYS listening, ALWAYS watching.

An idea has been tossed around that by using this feature, it will allows game developers and movie produces to set a limited amount of how many people can be allowed to view the entertainment. So as a hypothetical example, you and three friends are watching a movie, which is the maximum allowed. A fourth friend enters the room and the Kinect’s sensor registers the fourth individual. The movie stops and you a prompted to pay a fee so that the extra individual may also view the film. Again, that is NOT currently the case, but these are the ideas currently being tossed around with the system’s current capabilities.

Now, just two more things and I’ll be done here!

This isn’t really a good or bad thing, but it’s annoying. It also explains how they can prevent you from playing a used game if you didn’t pay their fee. Xbox one no longer plays games off the discs, you HAVE to install them to the hard-drive in order to play them. I believe PS3 also has you do this (on a number of games but not always it seems), except that PS3 isn’t trying to Nickle and Dime you at every corner. It also seems according to this article there is something related to the Online portion at the beginning of this post. The option is there for Developers to require the Xbox to always be online to play their particular game. Well, it seems PC gamers and console gamers have one thing in common now… DRM.

(At least pirates on PC can bypass DRM easily. Not an option for Consoles.)

And last but not least, another annoyance… Xbox One will not be compatible with any and all current headsets. Nope, companies will either have to make new headsets altogether specifically for the Xbox One, and they have to adhere to what Microsoft wants. Look forward to price gouging.

Oh, one more thing… If you have an Xbox 360, don’t get rid of it. Why? Well if you want to keep playing your old 360 games you’ll need it. The Xbox One isn’t backwards compatible. At all. Not only that, but President of Microsoft’s Xbox Division Don Mattrick insults the very notion of backwards compatibility! He calls it: “Backwards thinking.”

Paying for this supports greedy and anti-consumer business practices. Speak with your wallet, and pass up the Xbox One. No matter what games it might have that you want, even if they are exclusive. Do the right thing and make a statement. Refuse to be nickle and dimed like this. Refuse to be seen as a mindless consumer who will buy anything tossed to them.

We won’t know much else until after E3, but as it stands now, the PS4 or a decent gaming PC is the best way to go.

Microsoft released an update recently for Windows 7: KB 2823324, and they’re advising you to uninstall it IMMEDIATELY. why? the article linked above explains it better than i can but long story short: IT IS VERY BUGGY AND CAN MESS UP YOUR COMPUTER TO THE POINT OF IT NOT STARTING UP. this is annoying as hell and i’m sure several of you have already experienced this hell (i haven’t because i saw this article on time, thank goodness). if you’re having trouble finding it or even having trouble booting up your computer, here are some ways to get rid of it:

TO UNINSTALL IT IF YOU HAVEN’T FALLEN VICTIM TO THE BUGS:

go to Control Panel > Programs and Features

look on the left sidebar. go to View Installed Updates.

search for “KB2823324” (make sure KB is in there, otherwise it won’t be recognized)

uninstall it and restart your computer.

TO UNINSTALL IT IF YOU HAVE FALLEN VICTIM TO THE BUGS:

restart your computer by presing the F8 key

select Repair Your Computer; select language and log on

select System Restore

start up your computer normally. doing this should uninstall KB2823324.

I worked in a pet store for 5 years, and every Easter our rabbit sales went up exponentially. I can tell you from experience that almost half of the rabbits we sold were brought back in as early as two weeks after they were adopted. Some people let them loose, and some people send them to a shelter. People need to understand this very statement, and truly think about it. A rabbit is a big commitment, and should not be a fad or seen as a compulsory pet.

I cannot like this anymore than once, but I sure as hell hope people will spread this message, because it’s important as hell. I used to hand out care sheet BOOKLETS to everyone looking to adopt, and it prevented many of them from adopting in the end.

Her name is Kiki, and she is 6. She was diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer in 2011.

I have watched her go from dancing and singing and coloring me pictures, to not being able to move or speak very much at all anymore and living in a hospital bed.

My uncle and aunt had to sell their house to be able to help pay for everything and they are currently living in Ronald McDonald foundation houses and traveling trying to find the best doctors and treatments.

I have tried tweeting to celebrities with a lot of followers to help spread the word, I have tried fundraisers and asking people in my neighborhood for help and it just isn’t working. I finally thought that maybe if I tried Tumblr, people would be kind enough to donate and pass this post along and maybe it will get enough people aware and helping!

A family friend, Tara Strong (voice actress that plays the voice of Timmy Turner, Bubbles from Powerpuff Girls, and many other characters), has been kind enough to help us out by signing posters and letting us sell them and tweeting about the fundraiser but that can only go so far..

EVERY SINGLE DOLLAR COUNTS if every person donated at least a dollar and reblogs this post I really think that we can get this thing going!

If you recall this post I made earlier this week about my grandfather, here is the entire, infuriating story. Only a few hours ago I had decided not to talk about this, but it CANNOT GO UNNOTICED.

Last Wednesday night Emilio was taken to the hospital via ambulance for chest pain. His neighbors called 911 but couldn’t tell us where he was taken. It wasn’t until Friday that we were made aware of this, and tried contacting MedStar Harbor Hospital in Baltimore about his whereabouts.

According to Harbor Hospital, Emilio was admitted to the hospital at 2:27 PM and released only a half hour later at 3:00pm. So, here it is, Friday evening, and the man isn’t at home, he hasn’t been seen in days. We call Harbor Hospital several times (3, exactly). Saturday morning, we call the police and file a missing persons report. I recall the police officer returning to his vehicle and making several calls: Harbor Hospital, Mercy Hospital, St. Agnes, the morgue. Yet again, Emilio was nowhere to be found.

Picture: a feeble, 69 year old black man, confused and can barely walk. Speaks English but incredibly hard to understand. Carrying approximately 10 bottles of heavy medication with him and possibly around 500$. Let me also include the fact that he is a Cuban refugee, and not a citizen of the united states.

The missing persons report is filed and the weekend detective is on the case. He sends us the missing persons flyer which I promptly posted on tumblr (its late in the night already). About two hours later, and several phone conversations with the detective, Emilio is found..!

He was at Harbor Hospital.

He was at Harbor Hospital THE ENTIRE TIME.

HE WAS AT HARBOR HOSPITAL THE ENTIRE TIME.

He was admitted to the hospital at 3:00pm on that Wednesday He was never RELEASED, he was ADMITTED, but apparently, this was too much information for Harbor’s computers to handle, or rather, their employees. We are told now that he is in the ICU, with liver and kidney failure, along with a bladder infection. He is in a medically induced coma.

On Monday, my mother makes her way to Harbor Hospital to see him and speak with his doctors. She signs all of the paperwork to have him admitted to Hospice and crosses off my grandmothers name as Emilio’s emergency contact and replaces it with her own. This was at approximately 3:30pm on Monday evening.

Nana, my grandmother, had a stroke this passed October. She cannot speak. She cannot walk. She has the understanding of a child. Obviously, she is unfit to be Emilio’s emergency contact.

Two days pass and we hear nothing from the hospital. We call again several times on today, Wednesday, and lo and behold, Harbor Hospital cannot find Emilio.

He is not in the ICU, he is not in Hospice. We are told he was transferred rooms, but YET AGAIN, there are no records, he cannot be found. How do you LOSE a PATIENT from the ICU who is in A COMA? Please let me know, Harbor.

10:00pm Wednesday, exactly 29 minutes ago as I type this: Harbor finally calls back.

Emilio passed yesterday, at approximately 7:30pm. My Nana received a call on her cellphone, which is out of service, alerting her of his death. Let me remind you that this woman is completely out of sorts, she cannot answer a phone, NOR DOES SHE HAVE ONE. Now let me remind you once more that Emilio’s emergency contact had been CHANGED a day prior to his passing.

So, thank you, MedStar Harbor Hospital, for the complete atrocities you have committed, the complete disrespect you have shown for Emilio, the complete incompetence of your employees, and the complete turmoil you have put my family though, not to mention the agony my grandmother will experience when she finds out. Whoever is reading this, please spread the word, don’t let this COMPLETE BULLSHIT go unnoticed. I want people to know what this hospital has done.I want to warn everyone. Please reblog this if you can. What other atrocious things could be happening here?

I’m sorry, Emilio Hernandez Lanusa. You deserved so much better in your final days, your final moments. You were an amazing, strong man. You will be missed and thought of. We will make sure everyone hears your story. Thank you for everything.
